Check out this inspiring video!

I made a point in one of my earlier posts about individuals organizing to take the matter of alternative energy into their own hands, and came across this website called gen-we.org that seems to be attempting to do just that.   I found the video to be very inspiring.  I did some research to make sure I wasn't posting a video about alternative energy that was actually  sponsored by one of the oil companies, but it all checked out to be legitimate.  The website is based on a book called Generation We, by Eric Greenberg and Karl Weber.  Do you think civic groups have the potential to impact the future of alternative energy? Let me know if you were inspired!

I got goosebumps while watching that! I am very excited about seeing how many young voters vote in this election. Pretty much everyone I know has already voted early and I hope that this is a reflection of the young population at large. Thanks so much for posting that.

RESPONSE TO LAUREL:

I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I have so much faith in your generation, and it is great to hear that you and your friends are taking advantage of early voting. Thanks for your feedback - hopefully you can share the video with your friends too!

That was a very nice video. Even though I'm not American, I do feel like I'm part of the generation that's facing all these challenges, cause well, I'm right here with them. So I'm very worried too about the current situation, and I'm willing to do my part to help. Even though I don't get to vote, I encourage my Americans friends to do so, and I keep myself updated with current politics and economy so I don't speak without basis.
It's just a matter of finding what you can do to help.

RESPONSE TO PETRA:

Thank you for your thoughtful comments. You are so right when you point out that we're all in this together. I couldn't agree with you more! I'm responding to you the day after the election, and my sense of wanting to find out what I can do to help is even greater today. I'm am hopeful that Barack Obama will lead in a way that provides us with clear direction as to what we can do. He has shown through his campaign that he has the ability to effectively mobilize people to achieve a common goal. It sounds from his speech last night that he intends to carry on that tradition after the election and put us all to work on the many challenges we face. Thanks again for participating in the discussion!
